Joana Dias Alexandre

Joana Alexandra has a degree on Clinic Psychology (Univ de Coimbra) with training in psychotherapy with children and adolescents (APTCC). Her research work is focused on the social psychology, and she has a master degree and phD in this area (ISCTE-IUL), with internship in Adelaide University, Australia, focused on the relation between different social groups and minories (gypsy communities and immigrant population. Her connection with this research topics raised the interest on the communitary psychology and the intervention on local groups. Over the past years, Joana Alexandre has been involved in many national and international projects, such as Playgroups for inclusion/Grupos Aprender, Brincar, Crescer; ISCWeB - International survey on children's wellbeing.
Besides her interest for the area of inclusion, in recent years she has been working on the field on risk and child protection. At the moment, she's working on the project T.A.L.E. (Training Activities for Legal Experts) which aims to train the professionals for a right implementation of the European Guidelines for a child friendly justice, together with Rute Agulhas, in the Center of Legal Studies about Child Hearing since 2016.
