Teresa Paiva

Teresa Paiva was born in Lisbon, in 1945.

She concluded the studies on Medicine in 1969 with an expertise in Neurology. Some years later, she started to refocus her attention in the field of Sleep Medicine, until today. For the last 20 years, Teresa Paiva has been studying the way people sleep, and the problems related with a poor management of the sleeping moments. She received many prizes and she usually collaborate on clinical trials with specialists from all the world. She's co-author of several works related to the Sleep issues, and she also created the Center of  Electroencephalography and neurophysiology. She teachs on the university in Lisbon and is the mother of three childreen.
